Binh Dinh

Binh Dinh our special little baby, is a Chinese pangolin. Named after the province he was found in.

He is just 3 months old. He lost his mother when he was only 1.5 months old, when he weighed just 450g! A family found him in their garden in Binh Dinh Province. They contacted SVW and voluntarily handed him over.

After the dedicated care of our keepers and veterinarians, he now is 2.2kg in weight and in stable health. He will soon be weaned and moved to a larger enclosure that is more suitable for his age.

Binh Dinh is staying at the SVW centre for now so that he can grow big and strong.

He lives in a naturalistic enclosure, with lots of branches, a deep layer of soil which he loves to dig big holes in and lots of hollow tree logs where he can often be found snoozing.

Your symbolic animal adoption will help to provide the essential care for the pangolins at the SVW Rescue and Rehabilitation Centre. It takes time to rehabilitate rescued pangolins to be ready for release back into the wild and many of the pangolins can never be released due to the injuries they have suffered as the victims of the illegal wildlife trade.
